We had an inter floor Masterchef competition at work this week. My friend and colleague Nina and I represented level one. With both of us being keen foodies we had confidence going into this. For two days prior we scoured the internet for inspiration and ran through hypothetical game plans. For most this was just some light hearted work competition designed to engage the floors, for the both of us we knew our reputations amongst level one were depending on our performance.

You know Christmas is well and truly upon you when you find yourself weeping to the final scenes of Love Actually at the outdoor cinema in Silo Park. I wanted to talk about chivalry. Not the door opening, bag carrying chivalry, but the chivalry that involves giving people the respect they deserve.
I always have a bitch and a moan about how some guys are dicks and treat girls so badly. One minute they are all over you then the next they suddenly stop talking to you and become incredibly elusive for no reason. I get so frustrated by their rudeness and lack of balls to just tell ladies the truth.
Here I was being all woe is me, boys are so awful, why am I perpetually attracted to emotion-phobes and dick heads? Then I stopped and for the first time I looked at my own actions.
